I am an emerging artist drawn to feminist issues and surrealism. While developing my style through multiple mediums, I explored Grief as a theme for personal healing as well the theme of Letting Go of what no longer serves me to cultivate what does. I aim to create bodies of work with universal meanings to bring visitors together and invite conversations.
After a nearly 28-year career as a police officer, I only began my artistic journey in 2018. I subsequently applied to the Georgian Fine Art program in 2020. Finding a love for the arts, after one year, I transferred into the Fine Art Advanced program and graduated in 2023 with honours. I was awarded the Scholarship of Excellence in both 2022 and 2023 as well as received the most prestigious award being the Excellence in Studio, a Juried Scholarship Exhibition at Georgian College Campus Gallery in Barrie.
